We Also Specialize In:
Steep roofs are typically covered with composition shingle or light weight tile. These roofs can actually last many years because the water does not “pool or collect” on the roof. It is a good roofing system and architectually pleasing on the right roof. Because of the steep slope, the roofing job tends to be a bit more complicated requiring a highly skilled and experienced roofer.
Light Framing and Resloping:
Framing and resloping a roof involves taking a very flat roof and building up a slight slope to divert the water from puddling. Think of it as creating a better draining system for flat roof homes. By creating a slight slope, we alleviate puddling of water which can lead to a nasty leak and home damage.
A resloping job includes demolition and stripping of the roof first. Next we build a light frame with wood and a build the slope with plywood sheeting. The roof is then finished following all codes and regulations.
